TOP 5 WEDDING LOOKS FOR MEN | SUMMER '21

We all know that Spring is wedding season all

throughout Africa. When September starts so do the

wedding festivities. Although this year looks a

bit different logistically that doesn't change

anything fashion wise.

1. Suit and shorts

There is no other way to explain how much
we love this look. Not many can pull this look
off but those that try somehow
tend to make it work for them.

Recommends:
Play around with colours to don't be shy
but make sure its colours you can still
incorporate with other items. When
it comes to the shorts, chinos also work
so don't count them out.

Pharrell Williams made sure he didn't
disappoint at the 2014 Oscars.

2. Linen

Well-known to be a hit for beach weddings,

linen is a great choice during the scorching summer

wedding season. Its light weight material

makes it breathable and super comfortable to

make it through any wedding.

Recommends:

Beige, White, Navy and Light Blue

Ballin on a budget: AliExpress for R808.99

Moderate spending: Woolworths for R 2999

High end: Tagilatore for $518

Who can ever forget Tinie Tempah's

flamboyant era of suit selections?

We definitely remember this linen look classic!

3. Matching two-piece

It goes without saying that not everyone can pull

this look off. Same colour coordination can

sometimes come across as boring or too much if

done incorrectly especially if there isn't anything

breaking the colour such as a print or another colour.

Recommends:

For affordable two-piece suits check out

4. Semi-Formal

We can all agree that the strict dress code

that once existed at weddings has

somehow fizzled as the years went by. We are now

graced with more semi-casual looks that take

the pressure off trying to find the appropriate

wear for such an occasion. A statement blazer

is never a bad start with this look.

Recommends

For amazing signature

blazers you cant go wrong with

Rosey Vittori Tie dye blazer R945

Twisted Tailor  Floral Jaquard blazer R3034

Celeb Inspired:

Childish Gambino definitely served this look

without question. The statement blazer

to compliment the simple finishing touch to

 his overall look.

Maps Maponyane giving us almost too casual

vibes but added the blazer and signature hat

to complete this simple yet semi-formal look.

5. African Print wear

I hope you do know that African print

is not just for traditional weddings right? If you

do great we glad that's clear and out the way.

Recommends

Well lets say it depends what you looking for here;

10 MUST HAVE ACCESSORIES FOR EVERY MAN

Every man should aspire to be the best version of

themselves. Apart from self care to accompany

their sense of style when it comes to fashion

 accessories should be included. Accessories

 definitely complete ones look entirely.

1. Watch

A wrist watch should be your

best friend in the accessory department.

Men who appreciate a signature watch

understand the investment.

2. Wallet

The closet thing to a man should be

his wallet. This is one item that is never

forgotten & always carried around. The

best type of wallet is a card holder. Unlike

woman we don't need extra or carry

 unnecessary things really.

Recommends:

Stick to leather & black or

 brown colours.

3. Sunglasses

Jacques Marie five year

 anniversary limited edition

sunglasses

When it comes to sunglasses its

not merely the type of sunglasses

but rather the shape of the sunglasses

 that make all the difference.

Recommends:

Always go for sunglasses that

 compliment the shape

 of your face

4. Tie

Statement or not, a statement tie in the closet

is a must have. Whether you prefer a bold

coloured tie, simply plain with a touch of

detail or an out of this world outstandingly

detailed tie, one should always exist.

 Recommends:

Florals & patterns are a must!

We not forgetting the bow tie in this mix

5. Shoes

Stylish leather tassel loafers.

Above:

Stylish brown Oxfords,never disappoint.

If its not Oxford formal shoes

or loafers what else would you

be looking for?

Recommends:

When it comes to loafers tassels or not,

the leather & suedes are what we love.

Colours for both types always have a black,

brown or navy pair. You can always

go bold with the loafers though, red

never hurt

6. Hat/Cap

The perfect fedora is a great

addition to any outfit

Above:

The brimless cap a yay

or nay from you?

Above:

Plain tucker cap. Whether you like

it suede, leather or vintage all that

 matters is that its plain

The perfect fedora! Suitable for all seasons

& occasions. Not forgetting our new

found love for the brimless caps.

Recommends:

Hats always go for neutral  colours such as

black, beige or brown. Caps also stick to simple

 neutrals or go bright eliminate

prints & branding.

7. Socks

Not gone are the days of happy socks!

A definite must have cant be without

a pair of happy socks. There's a reason

they call them that.

Recommends:

We like them bright & lucky! Bright

colours & patterns are strict

 requirement.

8. Bag

Above:

The infamous leather backpack

The ready to travel duffel bag.

Portable & functional.

When it comes to bags, we not talking

about the cross over bag or the innovative sling bag,

we talking about the old school leather backpack &

duffel bag. So make sure they part of the list.

9. Belt

Now we all know that most outfits

are never complete without a belt. Whether

its a designer belt or no name brand,

one does need a decent belt. And decent is

not a bad thing.

Recommends:

Always make sure you get

 a good quality belt.

10. Sneakers

Because you will not be in formal

shoes the entire day, it never a bad

thing to have a couple pairs or your

favourite sneakers. For those laid back

days or that semi formal themed event a

pair or two or should we say more than

that wouldn't hurt

Recommends:

Have a pair for something different eg;

a jogging pair, a daily pair & expensive

 events pair.

COLOUR POPPIN LOOKS '2020

Call it what you will, 'colour blocking' or 'colour poppin.'

Colour blocking according to wiki pedia is thought

as the exploration of taking colors that are opposite on

the colour wheel and pairing them together to make

interesting and complimentary colour combinations.

This is also said to be inspired by

 Dutch painter Piet Mondrian

Here are some of our favourite
